Today Max and I return to the world of 3D scanning. We have a guest, Anna Zevelyov who is a co-founder and CEO of Thor3D. Thor3D’s is a 3D scanning company that makes handheld 3D scanners for a range of applications. Anna goes into why 3D printing kiosks in stores have failed, why different scanning technologies work for different applications and talks about why or why not your phone will have a 3D scanner on it. She also discusses the 3D scanning market and why we don’t yet have a Shapeways for 3D scanning.
