Altem Technologies to Distribute MSC Simulation Software Throughout India

downloadAltem Technologies is a forerunner and leader in supplying everything 3D to India. On a mission to spread the technology of digital design and 3D printing throughout the country, they also work with a number of vendors mainly headquartered outside of India (such as Stratasys and Dassault Systèmes), as well as within. Today, they’ve announced a new partnership with India’s MSC Software offices, as Altem will now be an authorized reseller of their simulation software.

The simulation software caters mainly to engineers in the midst of developing important new innovations for companies in areas like:

With MSC software, researchers and engineers are able to perform testing procedures more easily, saving time and money in efforts previously spent going back repeatedly to the drawing board, as they are able now to both design and test for real-world functioning of components and devices. With the simulation and testing, they are able to see how their parts will perform and what needs to be improved or changed before a release.

The bottom line is that in streamlining the prototyping process, MSC software allows research and development teams to design, manufacture, and take products to market more rapidly. This is a perfect complement to the list of services Altem already provides throughout India.

Founded in 2011 by Prasad Rodagi, the company operates out of seven major cities in India, and aside from working with other partners they also own printmyCAD.com, where the company offers their customers to try out 3D printed parts for their own designs free of cost.

It may sound like they are asking for it all, but with today’s technologies–especially digital design and 3D printing–that is indeed becoming very possible.

  • MSC Adams – the world’s most widely used Multibody Dynamics (MBD) software, used to study how moving parts work, as well as how mechanical loads and forces are distributed.
  • MSC Apex – the next generation CAE technology set to change the way engineers work on finite element analysis.
  • Actran – a complete acoustic simulation software solution for acoustic calculation, vibration, and flow problems.
  • Patran – an interactive pre- and post-processor that generates finite element models. Patran connects the CAD world with analysis programs and has interfaces to all MSC solvers.
  • SimXpert – a solution for multidisciplinary simulations and automation of proven CAE methods.

MSC_logo_redMSC Software Corporation, formed in the 60’s under their full name MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation (MSC), has had many decades to perfect the invaluable services they offer to a multitude of industry leaders. In 1965 MSC began working with NASA to develop and commercialize the finite element analysis (FEA) software known as Nastran (NASA Structural Analysis).  Over the years they have developed a long list of other software products used all over the world.

India is a country that ranks high in the area of science and research–as well as technology.
