Amazing 3D Printed Plug-n-Play Camera Holder Helps 360Heros Make the Guinness Book of World Records

H3PRO10HD_SOHF5FAF32__thumblargePhotography has advanced quite a bit in the last decade alone.  There are camera phones that can take better pictures than a highly sophisticated camera could years ago.  There are high definition, high speed cameras that can catch some really incredible moments in nature.  Every year, we tend to see more and more advancements in both photography and videography make their way to market.

One company called 360Heros is taking photography to yet another level, thanks in part to 3D Printing.  They have managed to create some incredible snap-in camera holders for synchronized arrays of GoPro Hero cameras, which allow shooting of videos and photographs in full sphere HD 360 degrees.

These 3D printed camera holders, holding several GoPro video cameras have recently made it into the Guinness Book of Records for becoming the first fully spherical HD 360 video filmed on the summit of Mount Everest, this past May.  Be sure to check out the record breaking video (make sure to click on the cirlcle at the bottom right hand-side of the video player to get the entire 360 degree view.)

It doesn’t end there though.  These camera holders can now be purchased via Cubify, starting at $495.  The $495 model, called the H3PRO6 holds 6 different cameras, for a complete 360 degree view.  There are also other models available, that hold up to 12 different cameras for a different type of view (although still in 360 degrees).  The most expensive of these models available is the 3DH3Pro12, which holds 12 GoPro cameras, and films in 360 degree 3-dimensional video.  It can even work along with the Oculus Rift, to provide awesome 3D 360 video presentations to viewers.

The GoPro cameras range in price from $199.99 up to several hundred dollars, so it could be quite expensive to fill up one of these 3D printed holders.
