Dell Partners with MakerBot to Offer Replicator 3D Printers and Scanners to Dell Precision Workstation Customers

MakeBot recently just released three new 3D Printers at CES in Las Vegas.  Now, they have partnered with Dell to bring their Replicator printers and their Digitizer Scanner to Dell Precision workstation customers, for small and medium-sized businesses.

Just announced today, the deal will allow Dell Precision workstation customers to bring their 3D prototypes to life, at much more affordable costs.

“At Dell we strive to arm start-ups, designers and engineers with the powerful, reliable and cutting-edge technology they need to succeed,” said Andy Rhodes, executive director, Dell Precision workstations. “With the addition of MakerBot’s 3D printers and scanners to Dell’s workstation portfolio, our customers can now bring their innovative prototypes to life much more quickly and affordably.”

MakerBot has really taken the 3D Printing industry by storm, targetting at home designers, as well as small and medium sized businesses for a while now.  The partnership with Dell will expand their stronghold on smaller businesses even greater.

“Partnering with Dell is another step in building out the MakerBot 3D Printing Ecosystem that makes 3D printing easy and accessible for everyone,” noted Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot. “Dell has done a great job with supporting and enabling small businesses, and we are excited to bring our 3D printing solutions to their customers to unlock their creativity.”

MakerBot printers and scanners, which include the following will be available via www.dell.com/3Dprinting starting on February 20:

  • MakerBot® Replicator® Mini Compact 3D Printer*
  • MakerBot® Replicator® Desktop 3D Printer*
  • MakerBot® Replicator® Z18 3D Printer*
  • MakerBot® Replicator® 2 Desktop 3D Printer
  • MakerBot® Replicator® 2X Experimental 3D Printer

Dell plans to showcase their 3D design solutions, including a MakerBot printer at SolidWorks World which started yesterday and will run through January 20th, in San Diego, Ca. They will be set up in booth 501.
