Brainless’ 3D Printed Battlebots & RoboToons are Run by RoboGuts – Coming Soon to Kickstarter

brainless1We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, 3D printing and robotics continue to converge upon one another at a rapid rate. 3D printing has become a go-to solution for creating custom robots that function and look exactly how their creators intend. Advanced computer systems combined with 3D printed parts are leading the way, not only for companies and individuals to prototype their own unique robots, but also in the creation of final products which function fully.

For one man, named Walt Perko, 3D printing and robotics have become much more than just a hobby. In fact, you could probably say it’s his lifeblood, and it is his goal to use these technologies in order to help children and young adults.

“My project is to provide the easiest path to learning how to build small home hobby robot toys and get started learning how to design and build more complex ideas,” Perko tells 3DPrint.com.”My project is to help very young children begin to find their career path sooner than later because they learn by doing, playing and building their own toys.”

brainless2Perko has developed several really cool robots, including battlebots that feature all sorts of unique weapons and other robots which are part of his RoboToons Robot Theater, all run using his RoboGuts circuit boards. Perko plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign in the near future to sell 500 RoboGuts boards, along with eBooks and 3D printable files for various robots. He’s also currently looking for a 3D printer manufacturer to sponsor him on his endeavor to bring these 3D printable robots to fruition.

“I’ve been looking for a 3D Printer sponsor to give me a few small printers and material so that I can build prototypes and make demo videos and instructional videos,” Perko tells us. “In return, customers will have better content that encourages them to buy a 3D printer to start making their own home hobby robot toys.”

If all goes as planned, Perko hopes to be shipping his RoboGuts in time for Christmas 2015. His goal isn’t to make a ton of money, but rather bring his robobrainless4tics systems to as many children as possible, providing them with a fun and interesting way to learn. His ultimate goal is to open several L’Robotorium shops, providing tools for children at very low costs.

Currently Perko offers kits for his BillyBot robots, but he is also working on many more battlebots which you can see in the photos and videos provided. These intuitive robots are what is capable with his RoboGuts circuit boards, which will soon be available to the masses.
