zecoteklogoWhat is the main complaint that many 3D designers have when using 3D printers? Most likely, it would be the fact that it usually takes several prototypes before perfecting the final product.

If Zecotek Photonics has their way, this problem may come to an end sooner rather than later.  Zecotek Display Systems, which is one of Zecotek Photonics’ subsidiaries, is designing a very unique 3D printing interface platform, using its own patented 3D display technology.  This platform which will include current and future generations of 3D printers and offer many great advantages over traditional design interfaces.

Zecotek will integrate their high definition 3D displays, which do not require 3D glasses for viewing into this new platform, with hopes of making the lives of designers quite a bit more simple.  It will basically allow designers to see their design in complete 3D, directly on their display unit, without having to waste materials to print it out.

“Zecotek`s 3D display technology creates significant advantages in the design process related to 3D printing,” said Dr. A.F. Zerrouk, Chairman, President, and CEO of Zecotek Photonics Inc. “By creating a user interface between the 3D printer and our own patented 3D display, we offer end-users the most realistic view of the solid object being created on the printer.  Individual or multiple users will have the ability to view the object in full 3D, from all perspectives, and edit the object as desired.  The interface will have a rich variety of interactive features and offer the ability to see a true 3D image during the design process which can save both time, material and cost.”

Zecotek initially hopes to subcontract the production of the 3D display units interfaced with 3D printers along with the software, for sale to end users.  They then will utilize a strategic partnership in order to mass produce and sell their product.

Zecotek’s 3D Display Technology

Zecotek’s 3D display technology is like none you have seen before.  It allows for multiple people to view one display at different angles, without the need for 3D glasses.  It uses a specialized optical scanning system, and brings the image to the users vision in complete 3D.  More details on Zecotek’s patented 3D display technology can be found on their website.
