Creality CR-6 SE Leveling-free Tech 3D Printer is live on Kickstarter, The campaign will run from May 6th to June 6th. Super early bird backers can secure their own super workhorse printer for under $300, a great opportunity to save over a $100.
Watch the CR-6 SE in action in the video below.
Creality is an established Chinese leader in 3D printer manufacturing, having accumulated over 6 years in developing, producing, and selling consumer FDM 3D printers and resin 3D printers. The CR-6 SE is Creality’s first crowdfunded 3D printer. Thanks to Creality’s deep experience, large production facilities, and experienced test lines, this helps to greatly reduce non-performance rates through strict quality control processes, better ensuring that its Kickstarter backers will receive a great product.
“The launch of CR-6 SE marks a special edition release for the company’s 6th anniversary. Based on thorough market research and considerate customer feedback, the Creality R&D team has been devoted to developing a new printer that will help solve one of the age-old issues in 3D printing, namely the bed leveling problem. Therefore, CR-6 SE is born.” said Alan Xu, Chief Engineer of CR-6 SE.
Featuring an innovative bed leveling-free tech, the CR-6 SE provides an easier 3D printing solution than ever before for pros, hobbyists, newbies, and anyone else. Other major highlights of the printer include modularized nozzle for encouraging ease in nozzle maintenance and tinkering, an ergonomic extruder for effortless filament feed-in, a Trinamic motion controller for precise motion and quiet printing, and more. The machine has a modular structure, made of just five parts that require only five minutes to assemble. Trouble-free 3D printing with the CR-6 SE begins right out of the box!
Compared to BL-Touch or other physical sensors, CR-6 SE achieves more accurate bed leveling results via its innovative leveling-free system that is backed with a smart pressure sensor. The printer comes pre-leveled from the factory, so all users have to do is to click “Level” on its 4.3” touch screen and wait for 1-2 minutes for the device to complete the leveling process. Thanks to this, CR-6 SE not only relieves users from the troublesome and energy-consuming bed leveling issues, but also effectively ensures print adhesion to achieve consistently successful prints.
In terms of printing performance, because of motion stability, the machine achieves some crucial improvements. CR-6 SE utilizes a Trinamic motion controller, which is capable of low current fluctuation, precise motion control, and accurate positioning, enabling a notable gain in premium printing performance. To add to this, CR-6 SE is crafted in fully aluminum body with wider machine base, sealed dust-resistant profiles, dual linear Z-axis rails, and a timing belt. The printer’s thoughtful and sturdy build contribute to smooth and stable motion, and help to produce exact print quality regardless of the dimensions of the print job.
CR-6 SE is designed with the intention of upgrading user experience to a new level. The redesigned nozzle greatly encourages ease in replacing and substituting inside component parts from the nozzle tip to the Teflon tubing. As the extruder revamps uniquely, the ergonomic extruder clip is quite user-friendly and enables users to finish filament feed-in without requiring any physical effort. Moreover, the 4.3” HD full-color touch screen provides an easy portal to access operational instructions in Chinese and English. The upgraded user interface provides simple, intuitive and responsive interface navigations.
Other modifications also contribute to the convenience that CR-6 SE achieves. For example, the XY-axis belt tensioner is quite helpful for adjusting belt strength to ensure stable motion and prolonging the service life of the belt. The toolbox makes full use of space and brings all handy tools such as small screws and screwdrivers, TF or SD cards, and other replacement components, within reach. The portable carry handle facilitates bringing this 9.5KG machine to anywhere you want.
Users will appreciate even better print results in the print volume of 235x235x250mm on CR-6 SE than those on the economic bestseller Ender-3 series. With its super early bird pricing under $300, CR-6 SE is a true workhorse boasting affordability and capability.
