CGtrader_LogoCGTrader is ready to rock 2016 right away with a challenge that offers 3D designers a venue for showing off their work as well as offering an awesome opportunity to win a 3D printer. In the Fashion 3D Print Challenge, the well-known 3D model marketplace, backed by a strong professional designer community, is teaming up with Mbot3D, Lix, and Innofill3D. And if the joy of creating and 3D printing isn’t enough, the rewards for this contest should prove to be highly motivating.

Together, all four sponsors are offering items such as two Mbot GridII+ SH 3D PrintersLIX pens, and 3D printing filaments from Innofill 3D. While CGTrader normally offers 3D designers a great way to showcase their work, a competition like this takes that to a new level. They are calling on designs for two different categories: Best 3D Printing Fashion Model and Best 3D Printing Fashion Portfolio. Judges will select a first-place winner and a runner-up for each.

Some beautiful designs have already been submitted upon today’s start, with a deadline of March 14th. You are encouraged to enter 3D models of absolutely anything that has to do with fashion. This means anything you can 3D print and wear, as well as a new take on fashion accessories, belts, and even shoes or unique gadgets that are relevant to the fashion industry.

Only models uploaded during the dates established will be considered entries, and you will want to make sure that you check “fashion-challenge” to get your model tagged and counted to the challenge. You can enter as many 3D models as you want, and if you upload more than eight, you are automatically considered eligible for entering the Portfolio category too.
