xyz-computexXYZPrinting, the company behind the popular and affordable line of da Vinci 3D printers, has an announcement to make next month. At the COMPUTEX 2014 conference, in Taiwan, which takes place on June 3-7, XYZPrinting will announce a new line of 3D printers.

Currently XYZPrinting is best known for their da Vinci fused filament fabrication printers, which are considered to be very affordable devices. They offer the da Vinci 1.0 for $499, the dual-nozzle da Vinci 2.0 Duo for $649, and the da Vinci 2.1 (with Wi-Fi) for $849.

However at the COMPUTEX 2014 conference, we have been informed to expect an exciting announcement concerning a new line of affordable 3D printers.

“XYZprinting will be introducing an exciting line of 3D printers with new affordable 3D printing technology and a revolutionary 3D printer on Computex 2014,” explained XYZPrinting’s PR team.

This is about all the information that the company is willing to divulge at this time. They are waiting until the event in order to release further details.

“We are adding a very special new function to our well-received printers,” explained Phair Tsai to 3DPrint.com.  “Also, at XYZprinting we hope to bring different 3D printing technology to [the] consumer market.”

One can only guess what this means. Perhaps they will be introducing an SLA based model for those looking to get an affordable high resolution 3D printer.

Perhaps they are introducing some sort of new technology, that we have previously been unaware of. Whatever it is, we should find out in about 2 more weeks.

“We are thrilled to broaden the selection of affordable 3D printing technology to the mass market in our product portfolio in XYZprinting’s hometown,” said Gary Shu senior market development manager of XYZprinting.

For those of you that can make it to Taiwan for the COMPUTEX 2014 conference, XYZPrinting will be located in hall 3, booth G0236 at the Taipei World Trade Center from June 3rd-7th. They will be holding a new product introduction session daily from 10am – 5pm.
