Learn how 3D imaging of the human body has the power to change the way you think about the economics of apparel and footwear design in this educational session presented by Body Labs. Body Labs is commercializing the world's most advanced technology for analyzing human body shape, pose and motion. Its mission is to provide a 3D digital human body platform upon and around which goods and services can be designed, manufactured, bought and sold. The fashion and apparel market is a $1.2 trillion global industry, with U.S. consumers spending $250 billion annually on apparel and footwear. In 2015, $62.4 billion worth of global apparel and footwear purchases were returned due to wrong sizing. Returns, along with out-of-stocks and overstocks, have been referred to as the “Ghost Economy” by IHL Group — a term used to refer to inefficiencies that result in largely unseen costs for retailers. Join Jon Cilley, chief evangelist for Body Labs, to discuss Body Labs’ recent research about how new 3D body imaging can: • Find the perfect apparel fit by extracting detailed customer measurements at scale • Customize sizing recommendations for online retail by correlating garment or footwear measurements to individuals • Help customers find the right styles through virtual try on Presenter: Jon Cilley, chief evangelist, Body Labs
