The additive manufacturing (AM) industry has spent the last few years getting a lot more serious about business. Growth, profitability, consolidation, defense spending, supply chains, and scaling production now matter as much as the technology itself. Those conversations will be front and center when Additive Manufacturing Strategies (AMS) returns to New York City from February 23-25, 2027.

This will be the 10th annual AMS, or AMS X, and the event has come a long way since its early days. Sometimes described as the “Davos of 3D printing,” AMS brings together the executives, investors, analysts, manufacturers, and other decision-makers shaping the industry. After another year of consolidation, defense investment, and pressure to turn AM into a profitable manufacturing business, there will be plenty to discuss in New York.

If you’re planning to attend, now is also one of the cheapest times to register. Early Early Registration is $1,199 through August 26. After that, the price rises to $1,399.

Where the Business of AM Gets Discussed

AMS puts the business side of additive manufacturing at the center of the conversation. The 2027 program will feature more than 100 speakers across three days and 10 sessions, with one continuous conference track.

The agenda will be packed with some of the biggest business issues in AM right now. The first day will cover market forecasts, supply chains, industrial AM, U.S. manufacturing, investment, and M&A. Day two turns to scaling AM into production, with discussions on mass manufacturing, energy, construction, healthcare, aerospace and defense, and investment. The final day looks at the bigger picture, including global AM adoption and international collaboration. It ends with two CEO roundtables featuring leaders from VulcanForms, Nikon SLM Solutions, ADDMAN, Stratasys, EOS, and Materialise.

The speaker lineup goes well beyond those panels. Stratasys CEO Yoav Zeif will give the opening keynote, followed by Additive Manufacturing Research EVP Scott Dunham, who will review the AM market in 2026 and look ahead to 2027.

Other confirmed speakers include Formlabs CEO Max Lobovsky, HP‘s SVP & GM, Additive Manufacturing Solutions Alex Monino, Siemens’ VP Additive Manufacturing Karsten Heuser, EOS North America President Glynn Fletcher, AM Ventures Managing Partner Arno Held, and Prusa Research founder and CEO Josef Prusa, among many others.

The conference will also include a special workshop from The Barnes Global Advisors (TBGA) focused on finding value in additive manufacturing. The session is aimed in part at investors looking to better understand how to evaluate AM companies and technologies without getting caught up in the hype.

The Networking Is Part of the Business

As always, AMS is also built around networking. The event gives executives, startups, investors, analysts, customers, and suppliers time to meet potential partners and make connections outside the formal sessions.

That business mix is also reflected in the sponsors. Stratasys is the Diamond Sponsor; Cantor Fitzgerald and The Barnes Global Advisors are Presenting Sponsors; and AM Ventures is the Networking Sponsor. Other sponsors include EOS, HP, VulcanForms, Lincoln Electric, nPower Technologies, In-Vision, MADDE, Carbon, and AMT.

Registration for AMS X currently costs $1,199 and includes entrance to all conference sessions, food functions, and the February 23 networking reception. That rate expires August 26, when registration increases to $1,399. One-day, networking hall, group, academic, and government registration options are also available.

With the AM industry entering another year of consolidation, investment, defense demand, and pressure to scale, there should be plenty to talk about in New York.
