Headquartered in unassuming Statesville, NC, Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) continues to forge ahead in hybrid manufacturing, now announcing they have completed certifications in the following:

  • ISO 9001:2015
  • AS9100D

While these milestones are important due to industry standards meant to maintain strict quality assurance and guidelines, it also means that KAM will have the opportunity to move into other applications like automotive and transportation, while solidifying their current stance in aerospace and defense.

These industry certifications take around a year or even more to complete, but the KAM team, along with their founder and CEO, Brad Keselowski, were able to receive their certifications in less than six months.

“When we started the business, we knew one day we would need to have these essential certifications under our belt to do the level of work envisioned with KAM,” said Keselowski.  “I am so proud of the entire KAM team for getting this accomplished in such a short amount of time.  It’s truly impressive.”

The KAM team has also expanded further with machines and equipment, now bringing in the following hardware:

  • Mazak i800 VARIAXIS
  • Mazak Quick Turn 350MSY CNC lathe
  • Starrett optical comparator
  • Vacuum furnace
  • (4) additional EOS printers
  • Dye penetrant line / inspection line

“These additional investments we have coming down the pipeline really hammer home the power and flexibility of our vertical business model,” states Jim Thompson, KAM director of operations. “Combined with our in-house metallurgical laboratory, metrology, digital radiography and hybrid manufacturing capabilities, we have a wide spectrum of resources available to service our customers’ needs.”

The company expects to continue growing, expanding further as we head into the fourth quarter of this year. They will not only be adding a state-of-the-art engineering center, but are also going to be hiring additional members for their team; in fact, they are aggressively recruiting ‘top talent,’ and ask that any candidates seeking employment in manufacturing or engineering ‘reach out regarding opportunities by emailing info@kamsolutions.com.

Engaged in hybrid manufacturing offering AM processes plus CNC machining capabilities, the KAM team plans to play a part in ‘jumpstarting the next industrial revolution’ with top engineering and machining talent innovating and problem-solving. With capabilities in metal manufacturing, the KAM team currently offers everything from engineering to prototyping, and from finishing to on-site delivery of products and services.

Hybrid manufacturing is a logical choice for many progressive companies and their clients, as it allows all involved to keep one foot in the door of the future and one in the realm of conventional methods everyone is used to like CNC machining. Industry studies have emphasized the importance of hybrid manufacturing, while new software and systems are being developed for users around the world.
