On June 11th and 12th, São Paulo, Brazil will be hosting the Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo, one of the world’s leading 3D printing events. The theme of the show is “From Design to Manufacturing,” and it’s expected to be a well-attended event. The show’s producers believe that it is the largest 3D printing event in South America, and it has been running successfully for several years now. We spoke with Bene Padovani, one of those producers, to find out more about the event.

How many years has the event been going on?

“For the fifth consecutive year Brazil is receiving ‘Inside 3D Printing Conference & Exposition’, the largest professional 3D printing and additive manufacturing event worldwide. Besides this show being a worldwide success, here in Brazil it is becoming a landmark, as several companies are making use of this space to launch their products and services to the market. It will happens on June 11 and 12 at Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo city.Throughout this trajectory we have noticed the increasing demand of visitors looking for alternatives to extend the reach of their ideas. They are engineers, designers, stylists, artists, sculptors, CAE/CAD/CAM professionals and makers who use 3D printing to ‘materialize’ their projects. After all, who does not like to see the physical model of his project already printed in 3D, in your hands, in a few hours (sometimes even minutes …)? This is the theme of I3DP 2018: ‘From Design to Manufacturing.'”

How many people will attend?

“The number of attendees has been increasing year after year. We expect around 3000 visitors to the Exposition and 300  participants in the Conference.”

Who are the keynote speakers?

“3D printing and additive manufacturing technology is used in any kind of industry. The goal of this event is to show that any industry or professional can benefit from this technology, so we have speakers from many different industries sharing their 3D prining experiences. We have three keynotes from different industries. On June 11 Celso Luis Placeres, Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Volkswagen South America will open the event sharing with the audience his experience with the Industry 4.0 at the Digital Factory of VW. In the morning of june 12 Anita Dedding, ABIMAQ’s Technology and Innovation Division and Valmir Fleischmann, Director of Engineering at Virtual CAE will focus on the initiatives Brazilian industries are taking to compete worldwide in the Industry 4.0 and in the afternoon Felipe Marques, BioArchitects CEO will talk about advances in 3D technology are impacting healthcare.”

Who are some of the exhibitors, and what is the largest exhibit?

“We have large multinational companies exposing their products (Höganäs, Materialise, only to name a few), but the majority of expositors are local Brazilian companies. Some of them are local distributors of multinational leaders company, but the major portion of the expositors are local genuine Brazilian companies announcing new products and services. The largest exhibitor GTMax is a young Brazilian company gaining Market share year after year in this competitive Market.”

Who should attend this event?

“Architects, artists, jewelers, bioprinters, developers, consultants, engineers, business people, fashion designers, investors, industrial designers, lawyers, manufacturers, marketing professionals, healthcare professionals, researchers, computer specialists, and plastics engineers.”

What are the main themes of this year’s conference?

“We intend discuss the importance of the use of 3d Printing to help people to develop their skills. That’s why the theme of the show is ‘From Design to Manufacturing.'”

What can attendees expect to learn?

“There are many lectures from expert professionals from different areas, so this is the correct place to share experiences. At the same time Expositors are introducing new products to the marketing.”

Registration for the conference and expo is still open. If you’re interested in attending, you can sign up here.
