Hong Kong-based Company, Manli, Introduces Their SimplyPrint 3D Printer

Simplicity is something lacking from many desktop 3D printers. Many machines require calibration, as well as an understanding of 3D modelling, slicing, and most tedious of all, how to clean a clogged extruder. Although many of these issues are being simplified, and 3D printers are being catered towards an ever expanding audience, there are still many machines and software packages out there lacking common sense features and simplified user interfaces.

One Hong Kong company, called Manli Technology Group Limited, is trying to change all this, with an affordable, simple, easy to use machine for all of us. They have just announced key details and released a video pertainging to their new Manli SimplyPrint 3D printer.

The machine was born out of frustration of how difficult it can be to use a common desktop 3D printer, as well as the inability for many expensive machines to print fine quality objects. Designed for home users, DIY users, and design houses, the printer features an intuitive touchscreen interface, and a standalone printing feature, via its SD card slot. Below are some of the general specifications of the SimplyPrint 3D:

• Nozzle Diameter: 0.4m
• Build Envelope: 140 x 140 x 150mm

Additional features which are worth noting include the ability for this machine to create automatic supports for floating objects, as well as auto bed leveling so that minimal setup is required.

Manli, established in 1996, has been a manufacturer of various computer components, motherboards, graphic cards and peripherals for nearly two decades. With key partners in Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia and America, they have an expansive global reach.

The SimplyPrint 3D will be on display at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair as well as GITEX 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Center today through Thursday the 16th. The price of this new printer has yet to be announced.
