Last year, HP Inc. unveiled its anticipated and exciting Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology to the world during RAPID, more than a year after it was first announced by the company. Since then, HP has stayed pretty busy, and the technology has been busily making its way around the world to new distributors and resellers. This morning at the TCT Show in Birmingham, the company is making headlines again as it showcases the latest news and developments about its Multi Jet Fusion technology’s European takeover. Adoption of HP’s innovative 3D printing solutions is picking up speed across the pond as HP announces several new European customers, new regional 3D Printing Reference and Experience centers, and a growing community of resellers.
“We are thrilled by the initial response to HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D solutions across Europe and to collaborate with our customers as they expand their uses and applications well beyond the boundaries of traditional additive manufacturing,” said Emilio Juarez, Head of EMEA 3D Printing Sales, HP Inc. “Not only has our European customer and partner community grown quickly, we are already seeing existing customers make multiple purchases of HP Jet Fusion units for full-scale 3D production.”
Industry leaders from around the world, such as Jabil, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, and Nike are already using HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology to transform their manufacturing operations. HP has announced some new European customers that will adopt the technology in order to decrease costs and waste and increase time-to-market and global competitiveness, including:
- Danfoss Group, the Danish technology leader providing infrastructure, food supply, energy efficiency, and climate-friendly solutions
- ETH Zurich, one of the world’s top science and engineering universities
- Jaguar Land Rover, the largest vehicle manufacturer in the UK
- KTM, an Austrian motorcycle and sports car manufacturer
- The National Center for Additive Manufacturing at the Manufacturing Technology Centre
In addition to more customers, HP also has 15 new distribution partners across Europe in its reseller program to help meet customer demand, including DaVinci Development A/S, 3D Center, 3Dees Industries,3D Printer ApS, 3D Ever, RP Support, and others. This takes the HP reseller program up to a total of 30 trained and certified European partners that are able to deliver high expertise and knowledge of HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology.
Speaking of HP resellers, multinational corporation Henkel, already a part of HP’s unique open 3D materials platform, is expanding its existing collaboration with HP. In today’s most exciting announcement, HP said that Henkel is now the first global reseller of HP Jet Fusion, a production-ready commercial 3D printing system.
“HP is the industry leader in 3D printing and, as we expand our portfolio to include additive manufacturing services, we are thrilled to become the first global reseller for HP’s Jet Fusion 3D Printing solutions. We are excited to deepen our collaboration with HP, develop even more innovative materials and 3D printing solutions for our customers, and increase the value for their end-use applications,” said Philipp Loosen, Head of 3D Printing at Henkel Adhesive Technologies.
Henkel engineers are working with HP’s 3D Open Materials and Applications Lab in Oregon, and will utilize HP’s 3D Materials Development Kit (MDK) to increase in-house development, and qualification, of new solutions. The Jet Fusion system is able to produce quality parts at half the cost of current machines, and up to ten times faster as well. Henkel will be opening three new demonstration centers in order to show off these new solutions.
HP, and its partners, already have over 25 3D Printing Reference and Experience Centers located all around the world, which give other companies the opportunity to engage in production-level scenarios with HP’s Jet Fusion 3D Printing solutions. The company recently opened some new centers in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Portugal, and Sweden, so companies can test and qualify new 3D printing use-cases in controlled environments on the way from prototyping to full 3D production.
In addition, HP also announced a large expansion in Europe with the addition of two dozen new manufacturing service bureau installations for its Jet Fusion systems across multiple countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. Service bureaus typically use innovative new technologies before they hit the larger industry, so that their customers can enjoy the new services.
