MecklerMedia Trade Shows Find a Buyer: US Trade Shows Acquired by Rising Media, International Shows in the Works
Recently, the news that MecklerMedia was liquidating assets and dissolving as a company shook things up, as many have been waiting with baited breath to hear what will happen to the largest 3D printing trade shows in the world. Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo and RoboUniverse Conference & Expo, both held in New York and San Diego, have now been purchased by Rising Media, Inc. Rising Media, which already produces Inside 3D Printing in Germany, is active worldwide, putting on Internet- and technology-related events.
“Both Inside 3D Printing and RoboUniverse are a fantastic addition to our portfolio of market-leading technology events,” said Rising Media’s Founder and CEO, Matthew Finlay. “Our European team was pleased with the successful launch two years ago of Inside 3D Printing in Germany and adding the already successful US events to our US operation creates a great deal of synergy.”
Inside 3D Printing and RoboUniverse will both be held in 2016, with New York City hosting the shows April 10-12 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, and the San Diego Convention Center holding the events December 13-15. The Inside 3D Printing series is the largest additive manufacturing event in the world, offering attendees an opportunity to explore uses of 3D printing in applications ranging from industry to aerospace to medical to architecture. These conferences create an unparalleled environment for networking, learning, and showcasing the latest in AM technology. RoboUniverse, for its part, is the first such show for the Service Robotics industry, housing practical robotics and innovative technologies.
“We’re delighted to have found such a good home for the US editions of both trade shows and expect to see both US and international editions of the events continue to grow,” Alan Meckler, Chairman and CEO of MecklerMedia, commented.
Additionally helping continuity in the production of Inside 3D Printing and RoboUniverse, many of the staff from MecklerMedia involved in the production of these shows will now be joining the Rising Media team. Sponsors, speakers, and attendees will thus still know some familiar faces in putting on these events in California and New York.
Among the events produced by Rising Media are Inside 3D Printing, RoboUniverse, Data Driven Business, Building Business Capability, Predictive Analytics World, Text Analytics World, eMetrics Summit, Conversion Conference, AllFacebook Marketing Conference, Search Marketing Expo, Affiliate Management Days, and Web Effectiveness Conference in the US, United Kingdom, Germany, and France. Companies interested in sponsorship or exhibition opportunities at Inside 3D Printing or RoboUniverse New York or San Diego can contact Rising Media at exhibit@risingmedia.com.
