iphone62With many people already getting their hands on the latest, greatest smartphone from Apple, there has yet to be many innovative cases or accessories released to go along with these phones. That is of course, unless you have access to 3D printing technology. Websites like Thingiverse, Shapeways, and Sculpteo are making it possible for those new owners of the iPhone 6 to get just about any phone case or accessory imaginable, even while they wait on a list of backorders for their phone to be delivered.

Here are some of the most interesting, unique, breathtaking, and just plain weird iPhone cases and accessories that we have found available through the use of 3D printing.

iDon’tBend 6 iPhone Case

We have heard about the vastly blown out of proportion rumors that the iPhone 6 can easily be bent. While consumer reports show that this is no more the case with the iPhone 6 as it is with any other smartphone, there are still those people out there who will remain ridiculously cautious. Don’t worry though, there is a solution for you. It is called the iDon’tBend 6, and it uses a “proprietary phone truss technology to protect your brand new iPhone 6 from bending and deformation, caused by excessive and unreasonable everyday use.” We aren’t exactly sure if this is meant as a joke or a serious tool in taking steps to avoid the infamous BendGate 2014. If you are overly protective of your iPhone, you can purchase this case for a very high price of $210 (perhaps that covers the cost of patents for this new proprietary technology).

The Diabetes Insulin Pen Mini Kit iPhone 6 Case

This is meant as a serious and very useful device for those suffering from diabetes. It features a spot for an insulin pen as well as a folded piece of paper which could include instructions on how to use the pen. On top of this, it also includes a warning message that says “Medical Alert, I have Diabetes”. This is a tremendous idea for anyone who has loved-ones with this disease. The case can be purchased on Shapeways for $80.

Single Line Stroke iPhone Holder

For those minimalists out there, who don’t like wasting material, this is just the iPhone 6 holder for you. While it doesn’t incorporate a fancy design, it will certainly get the job done. It can be purchased on Shapeways for only $25.00.

iPhone 6 SunShade

Don’t you hate it when you are outside and the sun is so bright that you can’t see your screen? I usually try and cover it up with my hands, but then that limits what I can do on the screen. This is where the iPhone 6 SunShade will make a huge difference. This snaps right onto your iPhone and will block the sun out in a very efficient manner. Better yet, it’s priced at only $38.

iPhone 6 Slide Out Comb Case

This is for those of you with long voluptuous hair. It is a case for your new iPhone 6, which features a very useful comb that can be tucked away in the back of the device. It’s just perfect for those of you who are selfie’aholics, and can’t go a few moments without taking another photo of yourself. What better way to make sure you look best for your latest narcissistic driven photo than the convenience of this innovative new case? It is available now from Shapeways for $34.99.

This is the Swiss Army Knife of iPhone cases. If MacGyver were still around, you can bet your life savings that he would have one of these to go along with his latest Apple smartphone, and chewing gum. It features a wallet, money clip, and most importantly a bottle opener, and is priced at just $29.00. Available in 12 different colors, it makes the perfect gift for the MacGyver wannabes out there.

iPhone 6 Controller Case

Video game nerds rejoice! There is already a video game controller case for your newest smartphone. Whether you are addicted to Angry Birds or you enjoy sitting back and playing your favorite RPG, this case will provide you with a more natural grip for your phone. Most importantly though, it targets those of you with sweaty palms. The wire-mesh design allows for plenty of airflow while you nervously try and defeat your most fierce competition. This case will set you back about the price of a console-based video game. It can be purchased for $49.88 on Shapeways.

Without a doubt, there will be plenty more unique 3D printable designs popping up all over the internet in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. What types of ideas do you have for the next iPhone 6 case or accessory that you would like to see someone design? Discuss in the 3D printed iPhone 6 Accessories forum thread on 3DPB.com.
