Formlabs pioneered the desktop stereolithography market. The firm was also the first to introduce Pro desktop 3D printers geared towards the high tolerance and precision parts on the desktop. The Form 1 and the newer Form 2 3D printers have grown in number and are used worldwide by businesses. Companies use the Formlabs machines to make dental parts, produce molds for jewelry, make snap-fit prototypes for form and fit testing and to manufacture. Stereolithography is a technology that creates highly detailed accurate smooth parts. The printer is only one part of the path to getting there, however. Knowledge and process are key to getting 3D printing to work for you in an office or production environment. To aid in people’s understanding of stereolithography Formlabs is giving a webinar at 13:00 PM EST September 18th.

During this webinar, you will learn how to select the right materials for a particular application, how to prepare and print a part, the available materials, how stereolithography works and how the Form 2 printer works. The webinar will look specifically at part-to-print workflow on the Form 2 and will go from concept to the final part. Workflow is a key element of 3D printing, especially in production. Getting something right once can be a random event but getting something right a thousand times means that workflows have to be understood and planned precisely. The webinar will let you understand how a Form 2 may fit into your business and how it can be used.  Kevin Gautier, Channel Application Engineer at Formlabs, will be the person giving it. Kevin is responsible for training channel partners on Formlabs materials and machines as well as new applications for the technology.

You can learn a little more about Kevin and see him introduce his webinar “Workflow on SLA 3D Printing: Achieving Tight Tolerance with Robust Engineering Materials” here.
