Southern Italy-based Roboze is an interesting company in the global 3D printing landscape, proposing its high grade Roboze ONE 400 and the new ONE+ 400 3D printers at a very affordable price. Over the past year the company has been seriously focusing on international expansion and the arrival of Gil Lavi, a historic figure of the Israeli (Objet) 3D printing scene, plays right into this objective.
Gil Lavi joins Roboze as VP Sales & Business Development, with the goal of building and managing the company’s global distribution channels and strategic alliances. He has spent 10 years in the “digital 2D printing world”, from Indigo (HP) to Scitex (two of the companies where many current Stratasys managers hail from). Gil Lavi added another dimension to his professional life when, in 2006, he joined Objet (now Stratasys), starting as Regional Channel Manager to become the EMEA Strategic Accounts Director of Stratasys.
“I had the honor of joining the company when it was still a small startup on the way to becoming a true 3D world leader, a public traded company with a market cap of several billions,” Gil Lavi said. “After 10 amazing years, I left the company seeking my next adventure in this fascinating industry. As a long-term player, I was looking for technologies that will have the right offering customers were looking for – professional yet affordable. Out of this understanding, and taking into consideration the changes this industry was going through, I examined dozens of companies, most of which were young start-ups.”
Over the past several years, many new desktop 3D vendors joined the market, offering affordable and easy-to-use 3D printers.

Roboze captured Gil Lavi’s attention for several reasons.
“First and foremost,” Gil explained, “the team I met had the spark in their eyes I was looking for. Second, the company’s one-of-a-kind 3D printing technology offers a true benefit – the ability to produce accurate and high quality parts from a variety of materials, including high thermoplastic materials – all at reasonable costs. Third, after successfully installing hundreds of 3D printers in Europe, the company was looking for ways to expand their global business activity.”
