One subcategory of the 3D printing craze, which has begun to get traction, has been 3D printer pens. cloud-1Starting with the 3Doodler pen, which raised over $2.3 million on Kickstarter last March, the market has continued to expand.  There have been a few other devices which have launched since. Currently the Lix Pen has their own crowdfunding campaign running on Kickstarter, which has already brought in over £693,000 in funding. The craze doesn’t end there though. This week, yet another 3D printer pen, the Cloudio2go launched their very own Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.

The new Cloudio2go 3D printer pen, is a build very similar to that of the 3Doodler, but according to the company it is lighter, making it much easier for children to handle.  It also brings several new technologies to the table, such as a better heating process, intelligent standby, and a better way of dealing with friction.
