Cathie Wood, Founder and CEO of ARK Invest (“Ark”), is a well-known American investor in general, and particularly in the additive manufacturing (AM) industry. ARK is focused on disruptive technologies with 3D printing as one of its targeted investment areas. As such, Wood has been vocal about AM and provided essential capital to the industry; however, her impact on the industry is perceived by some as a “mixed bag” that has resulted in undesirable consequences.
