While you may not have actually seen the new ZMorph 2.0 SX Multitool 3D Printer yet, if you’ve been following along over the past months, you are well aware that it is here—and more than just your ordinary upgrade. But ‘ordinary’ is hardly something we ever associate with this Polish company that seems to corner the market on versatile. With nearly 70 partners offering the new printer in over 50 countries, ZMorph states they are continuing to provide constant shipments, offering the desktop multitool machine as ‘off-the-shelf’ with their one-week lead time. They confirm that DesignBox3D store will continue to offer new ZMorph products throughout the US. Also, they have just announced another distribution deal with SIU System, offering ZMorph products to the Russian market, as demand grows there.

Working to set a new standard in digital fabrication, ZMorph has become a trendsetter in combining 3D printing with more traditional subtractive process. They state that that with this latest release, they are offering their most advanced yet accessible product yet. The improved construction offers:

“We gave the 2.0 SX a color LCD touchscreen and a completely new interface to make desktop fabrication even more accessible,” states ZMorph on their website. “Basically, using a 3D printer feels now like using a smartphone or a tablet. Also, the new touchscreen allows you to control the printer without the need to connect a PC.”

The new encoder-based closed loop system offers further quality for making objects, whether using the additive or subtractive process.
