Joint Partnership Between NinjaTek and taulman3D to Expand Materials Offerings for Industrial 3D Printing Customers

NinjaFlex, the flexible 3D printing filament popular enough that it recently spawned its own division–with NinjaTek announced last month as a division of parent company Fenner Drives–has certainly been making its presence known on the marketplace, with 26 colors of the material currently available, including the standard flexible NinjaFlex and the less-elastic SemiFlex version. We’ve been following news on the filament for quite some time here at 3DPrint.com, and today we’ve learned that the material will become more accessible to industrial users through a newly announced joint partnership with taulman3D, set to start toward the end of October.

“NinjaTek products have built their name on reliable quality and unique performance characteristics,” noted NinjaTek’s Vice President and General Manager, Wendy Booker. “Our SemiFlex product is flexible yet firm, making it perfect for snap-together parts. Joining our products with those of taulman3D provides one-stop purchase options for customers seeking the best 3D printing materials on the market.”

The joint partnership agreement will see taulman3D offering SemiFlex materials to its customers, while NinjaTek in turn will offer Nylon 645 and Alloy 910 materials from taulman3D to its customers, with a focus here on industrial uses. This agreement clarifies some of the direction for the newly-formed NinjaTek division, in that it will be geared toward this customer base.

The materials available from taulman3D are some we have taken an in-depth look at before, offering notable strength and the distinction of being a “super material,” with both being frequently utilized in prototyping of high-strength products. With NinjaTek’s drive to make available high-performance materials for industrial applications, these materials will fit right into their developing wheelhouse. The flexibility and durability of NinjaFlex and SemiFlex materials offer an elastic counterpoint to the strength noted in taulman3D’s products, ensuring that the partnership benefits both companies and expands the offerings of each.

“At taulman3D, we are constantly working with top Chemical Companies and others to develop 3D Printing specific quality materials,” noted taulman3D’s founder, Tom Martzall. “We believe the NinjaFlex Brand, with its excellent strength and flexibility, offers customers from Industry to DIY designers an extremely feature rich material. We see the partnership as creating an excellent opportunity for joining together customers seeking high performance and quality products.”

We’ve seen some incredible creations emerge from the use of materials from both NinjaFlex and taulman3D. Exo-shoes featuring the high-strength qualities of taulman3D’s bridge nylon and a wheelchair joystick created from NinjaFlex are only two examples among many of the possibilities of 3D printing with materials from these two manufacturers. The partnership between NinjaTek and taulman3D will surely lead to expanded uses across a variety of fields–and with a focus on industrial customers, the resulting potential is surely to lead squarely to real-world applications.
