3D Hubs Kicks Off October with Events in Eastern and Western Europe

The 3D Hubs Events calendar for the first week of October features three events, all meetups, that are spread all over Europe. The first meetup is in Arnhem, the Netherlands; the second is in Lille, France; and the last one is in Iași, Romania. We see here, with this lineup of events, that more cities not originally in the 3D printing epicenters of Amsterdam and Paris are getting involved with 3D Hubs, proving how fast the network is growing. And Romania is hosting its third 3D printing meetup in the past year, which is good news for Romanian 3D printing fans.
On October 1, 2015 at the MakerPoint 3D Concept Store in Arnhem, Netherlands, there’s a meeting for makers from 7:30-9:30 PM. This meeting will introduce new 3D Hubs-affiliated makers, provide 3D Hubs and PointMaker news, and also inform participants of what’s happening in general 3D printing news globally. Also, Bart VeldhuizenofSketchfab will be this event’s special guest speaker. (Sketchfab’s website gives users access to over 400,000 3D models.) So join Community Mayor Sander and all of the other 3D printing enthusiasts in Arnhem for an evening of great information and networking.
The next 3D Hubs event also takes place on October 1, this one from 7:00-10:00 pm in France. Organized by Community Mayor Julie, this gathering will be at Lille’s Mutualab and will feature the 3D printed jewelry of Jean-Louis Cap. This jewelry brand focuses all of its prints on the cap– yes, the kind you wear on your head. But these are to be worn as rings and pendants instead. In addition to being introduced to this new 3D printed jewelry brand, participants will also have a chance to catch up on 3D printing news and meet new members of the community and creative entrepreneurs who constitute the local Lille 3D printing scene.
Daniel, the Bucharest 3D Hubs Community Mayor, invites you to a meetup on Saturday, October 3 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. The meetup will be the third event since Romania’s 3D Hubs was launched about a year ago. The first was in the Romanian country at Bucharest’s Polytechnic University about a year ago. The second meetup was last May at Transylvania’s University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and this third one will be held at Alexandra Ioan Cuza University in Iași, Romania. This four-hour-long gathering will follow the same format of previous 3D Hubs events in Romania: discussion about 3D printing issues and a 3D printing demonstration too.
