In addition, just a few weeks ago, we reported on the 3D printing of the “Impossible Triangle,” which gave a new kind of life to a previously 2-dimensional optical illusion of sorts. In fact, it actually became “possible” once 3D printed (sort of).
Now, Eric Ho, Social Media Specialist at Shapeways, has teamed with designer Kostika Spaho to turn a previously popular internet sensation into a 3D printed pendant, which is available for purchase by anyone.
“‘The Monogram Of The Alphabet’ was a gif that went viral a few years ago that I came across again a few weeks ago,” Ho tells 3DPrint.com. “It’s pretty trippy, and as you can see it contains all of the letters of the alphabet and all of the numerals (0-9). “
Reminding me of those puzzles you would have to complete in grade-school, “The Monogram of the Alphabet” is certainly something that anyone could spend hours staring at. All 26 letters of the alphabet and all 10 numbers are found in the monogram, as you can see in the image above, although at first glance it appears impossible. It would make the perfect gift for that puzzle lover in your family.
In all, the pendant is available in 11 different metal materials, including several different types of gold, and 13 different colors of plastic. It measures 1.478 w x 0.039 d x 0.751 h inches.
Eric Ho has become quite the popular designer himself on Shapeways, with 19 different designs depicting many different memes. What do you think about this unique pendant? Discuss in the 3D Printed Monogram Of The Alphabet forum thread on 3DPB.com.
