Back in June we covered their announcement of a new SLA 3D printer called the Nobel 1.0. At the time XYZPrinting expected to ship the first units by the end of 2014 and predicted that its price would fall south of $2500. Here we are six months later, and the Nobel 1.0 is being officially unveiled at the 2015 International CES along with a brand new product which the company has just announced.
First let’s start with the Nobel 1.0. In what is likely the most affordable mid-size SLA machine on the market, XYZPrinting has just announced an MSRP of $1499. This is well south of their ‘under $2500’ prediction they made back in June, and it appears to be a very capable device for the price. With features such as auto resin refill, and its safe closed printing environment, the Nobel 1.0 seems to be worth every penny. Below you will find some of the machine’s general specifications:
- Print Technique: Stereolithography Apparatus, SLA
- Printer Size: 28.2 x 33.7 x 60.5 cm
- Printer Weight: 20 lb/9.1 kg
- Display: 5” Touch Panel
- Connectivity of Device: USB 2.0 , Host/Client , WiFi
- Build Envelope: 12.8 x 12.8 x 20cm
- Print Resolution: X/Y : 300 microns, Z: 25 microns

Next up is a printer which could very well help take 3D printing technology mainstream. In addition to the unveiling of the Nobel 1.0, XYZPrinting has announced, and will be unveiling, their da Vinci Junior 3D Printer at the 2015 International CES today. Priced at just $349, this printer ranks up their as one of, if not the most affordable 3D printer on the market today.
Compact, yet very capable, the da Vinci Junior should appeal to a broader range of consumers, teachers, and businesses. Those purchasing this printer will love how easy it is to use. From its plug and play setup, to the ease with which one can load and unload filament, this eco-friendly 3D printer utilizes just 75 watts of power. Below you will find the general specifications for the da Vinci Junior:
- Print Technique: FFF
- Printer Size: 42 x 38 x 43 cm
- Printer Weight: 12kg
- Build Envelope: 15 x 15 x 15 cm

Those attending CES will be able to see both of these new machines in action at the XYZprinting booth, #71628 at The Sands Expo. Let us know your thoughts on XYZPrinting’s latest additions. Discuss this story in the da Vinci Junior & Nobel 1.0 forum thread on 3DPB.com.
