Polish 3D printer manufacturer 3DGence introduced its first 3D printer four years ago, and released its professional dual extruder DOUBLE 3D printer just a few months ago. The third wave 3D printing company is now back with another new professional FDM 3D printer model: the dual extruder DOUBLE P255, which is based on the original DOUBLE 3D printer.
“One of the main design goals of 3DGence DOUBLE P255 was to create a reliable and versatile device. We have introduced a number of improvements to reduce the difficulty of using the printer,” said Filip Turzyński, the Quality Development Manager of 3DGence. “Enclosure ensures a stable working temperature and hotend design was optimized for longer continuous operation. User involvement in the calibration process has been minimized as much as possible.”
The 3DGence DOUBLE P255 has a 190 x 255 x 195 mm working area, and can print with two different materials – one for the print itself, and one for supports, which include water-soluble BVOH material. According to the company, by rinsing BVOH in water, it’s “possible to obtain elements with a certain mobility.”

- Smart ABS + HIPS
- PET + BVOH
- PLA + BVOH
- PP + HIPS
The system can also print with flexible Fiberflex 40D material. The 3DGence DOUBLE P255 has an end-of-filament sensor, which will halt the print job if it detects a lack of material, a material flow control system for model printing supervision, and an extrusion quality measurement system, which monitors the quality of each 3D print.
The new 3DGence DOUBLE P255 includes auto-calibration, dedicated electronics and stepper motor controls for safety, and a patented PUSH system for quick hotend changes. The 3D printer’s easily replaceable ceramic build platform ensures good first layer adhesion, and makes it easy to remove the model from the plate once 3D printing is complete.
Just like with its INDUSTRY F340 3D printer for PEEK materials, 3DGence has also received the coveted certification from technical service provider TÜV Rheinland for its new DOUBLE P255, which, as the company puts it, has confirmed “the repeatability and quality of production and safety of the device.”
At formnext in Frankfurt next month, 3DGence will have its new DOUBLE P255 3D printer on display at its booth #J38 in Hall 3.1. The company will also have several of its other products on display at the event, including the 3DGence ONE, the INDUSTRY F340, and perhaps even its 3D printed, fully functional robot arm.
