Now, 3DGence is back with a new 3D printer, the professional dual extruder DOUBLE, which was, as 3DGence Public Relations and Content Specialist Justyna Kałuża tells us, “developed in response to needs from different industries.”
The FFF DOUBLE 3D printer’s dual extruders allow users to 3D print the model and water soluble BVOH support material at the same time, using 1.75 mm material. Material combinations that are currently available include PLA and BVOH, PET and BVOH, PP and HIPS, and Nylon and HIPS, though the company is always working to develop more 3D printing profiles
The DOUBLE’s filament end sensor will automatically pause the 3D printing process if it detects a shortage of material, and its material flow control system comes equipped with double independent filament sensors, giving users total control of the process. The extrusion quality measurement system comes with automatic error detection, which allows the user to constantly supervise the quality of each print.
The DOUBLE, which has a build volume of 190 x 255 x 195 mm, has excellent print quality, as all of the default settings have already been tested in-house for layers lamination, dimensional accuracy, and how easily the supports detach in water. It also features autocalibration, so users don’t need to manually calibrate the 3D printer. Special sensors will scan the 3D printer’s ceramic heatbed, which is interchangeable and offers three levels of thermal protection, and store the point map, detecting any possible surface irregularities. The sensors also measure the height of the printer head above the bed.
Hotends can help guarantee high-quality print jobs, which is why the DOUBLE also uses PUSH, a quick hotend exchange system, so users can replace hotends without tools in only a few short seconds.
Other DOUBLE 3D printer specs include:
- 26 kg
- USB and SD card
- Optional enclosure
- Minimum 50 micron layer resolution
- Maximum hotend temperature 270°C
- Supports Windows and Mac operating systems
- Works with .stl, .3mf, .obj, .jpg, and .bmp files
The 3DGence DOUBLE is available for purchase starting this month, though you can order a free sample here if you’d like to try it out first before buying your own.
