“This collaborative effort with our investors will change the face of 3D printing,” said Nexa3D Executive Chairman Avi Reichental. “This printer is powered by Nexa3D’s proprietary Lubricant Sublayer Photo-curing (LSPc) technology and a patented structured light matrix capable of reaching top speeds of 1 cm per minute, which can drastically cut down 3D printing cycles, from hours to minutes.”
As part of the investment, XYZprinting will also manufacture and sell Nexa3D 3D printers under the XYZprinting brand, in addition to manufacturing other white labeled products on behalf of Nexa3D for industry leaders in other verticals.
“This comprehensive strategic alliance is designed to accelerate market access to affordable industrial grade 3D printers globally,” said XYZprinting CEO Simon Shen. “We believe that precision and speed are the name of the game in the world of 3D printing and are pulling all the stops to fast-track to market a disruptive photo-polymeric 3D printer that reimagines SL 3D printing as we know it.”
In addition, XYZprinting has announced a strategic alliance with Digital Wax Systems (DWS), which develops and manufactures SLA 3D printers. The company is managed by Maurizio Costabeber, developer of the first desktop 3D printer in 1997, and is known for the XFAB, a semi-professional SLA 3D printer priced for consumers. It produces 3D printers geared towards jewelry and fashion, dentistry, and manufacturing and design, as well as a large range of materials.
As part of the agreement, XYZprinting will manufacture and sell certain DWS 3D printers under its own brand name, while DWS will market under its own brand some of XYZprinting’s DLP 3D printers, allowing it to reach the sub-$5,000 professional 3D printer market. The partnership will offer an expanded reach for both companies’ 3D printers; both companies expect a large amount of growth for affordable desktop SLA 3D printers.
Finally, XYZprinting has partnered with Sicnova 3D, which manufactures large format industrial plastic 3D printers, geared particularly towards the manufacture of jigs and fixtures for functional end use parts. They are capable of 3D printing objects of up to 1000 x 600 x 600 mm with speeds of up to 1000 mm per hour and accuracy of 50 microns. Features include a controlled print chamber with a heated bed, auto leveling, precision industrial motor controllers and dual extruders with interchangeable nozzles.
XYZprinting will sell its own branded version of Siconova 3D’s JCR 1000 and JCR 600 3D printers, beginning in the second half of 2018. They will be sold through XYZprinting’s new professional 3D printing channel.
