Zortrax Z-Suite Software – Easy to Convert 3D Files into 3D Printable Models

Poland-based 3D printing company Zortrax provides its customers with just about all of the products the technology has to offer, from 3D printers and software to materials and accessories; today, we’re focusing on its innovative software. With the help of a corresponding Model Library contest, the popular company first released its Z-Suite V1.2.0 software about two years ago. Only a few months later, Zortrax released some major overhauls to both its Model Library and Z-Suite, with a new 1.4.0 update that would speed up printing with its M200 3D printer.

The company announced this spring that several of its 3D printers would also now support external materials, thanks to some new software profiles, and introduced the latest Z-Suite Version 2.0 software in June.

At this summer’s Zortrax Experience Conference, Zortrax CEO Rafał Tomasiak said, “The new version of the original Z-SUITE software offers numerous useful functions, which will improve the day-to-day operations of our clients even more.”

The Z-Suite 2.0 software was available in beta version starting at the end of July, and comes with multiple new functionalities, such as an analysis algorithm and editable supports, along with the option to work in several project tabs, and mesh repair so users can establish errors in a model and then set the Z-Suite software to fix them automatically.

But just what makes Zortrax’s Z-Suite software so great?

First, the company’s rigorous research and development team works hard to keep adding the best functionalities and benefits to the software, so users are able to adapt to a constantly changing market. In addition, the software’s ability to support external material profiles adds to user appeal. While Zortrax was certainly not lacking in terms of its proprietary 3D printing materials, now users are able to experiment with even more. This update was requested by users who wanted to try out materials that the company didn’t offer, but that the 3D printer could still use – the software settings need to correlate with the material, so the printer temperature and settings can be automatically adjusted for maximum print quality.

There are numerous reports that the Z-Suite software is very easy to use – it is, after all, described as the “intuitive software for converting 3D files into models.” Not only that, but dozens of other popular 3D software programs are also able to work with Z-Suite, such as Autodesk InventorSketchUp, MeshLab, OpenSCAD, and ZBrush, and that’s not even scratching the surface.

Z-Suite software makes it easy for users to adjust their 3D model features. Some of the many capabilities it offers include:

The software also gives you access to the Zortrax Model Library, where you can join the community and see all kinds of great models, improve your 3D modeling skills, and keep all of your projects in the same place.
