“Morphi is for everyone, everywhere,” said Sophia Georgiou, Morphi CEO and Designer. “We want to inspire people who use Windows laptops and desktops to visualize and evolve their ideas with our software.”
Chief among its features are the following:
- It is simple to use, with kids as young as pre-K designing without logins and passwords.
- Powerful drawing features are available on all of its platforms, including freehand, mirroring and revolving lines.
- High contrast jpgs and pngs can be made 3D directly, without having to import in to other programs to vectorize them.
- 3D typing is enabled in all fonts available on the platform being used.
- The Augmented Reality tool enables the viewer to place and edit their 3D models designed in Morphi and Morphi Edu (its identical sister app for iPad volume discount purchases) in their environment using the iPad’s camera.
- Reasonable pricing for individuals and schools.
- Improved 2D to 3D tools for refined drawing, to better read fine lines and to transform them into 3D models
- Greater choice in creating higher resolution 3D models
- Additional Augmented Reality tools
- New Morphi Manual and YouTube tutorials
- Launch of the Morphi Educators program connecting teachers
- An Android version
They also teased that there are a few surprise features for 3D printing, VR and animation coming down the pike, possibly within the year.
Morphi has come a long way since its initial release less than 3 years ago. It has been used to design many different things, including inventions such as functioning model rockets and art, and is very popular in education.
“We are a start-up focused on designing products to give individuals and groups of any skill level the power to create,” says Georgiou, “We’re excited for what people will design and look forward to user feedback so we can make Morphi for Windows v2 and our other platforms even better.”
Morphi for Windows is free to download and try for 15 days and is priced at $4.99 per license for schools purchasing 20 or more licenses, and $9.99 per license for those purchasing fewer than 20 licenses. To download the trial version and/or purchase Morphi for Windows, please visit Morphi’s download page.
