Online Educators SolidProfessor Partners with SOLIDWORKS to Offer New Certification Courses

As technology continues to exponentially improve, the future of industry and manufacturing is rapidly requiring new employees have at least a passing familiarity with 3D technology. Automation, additive manufacturing and computer aided design (CAD) software are all gaining outsized roles in new job requirements, and any employee who wants to achieve a long and successful career will have to quickly begin adapting or increasingly risk being left behind. Online education has often gotten a bit of a bad rap, however the internet has quietly become an increasingly efficient method for certifying people in the use of advanced software and technology.

This week, online educators SolidProfessor formed a new partnership with SOLIDWORKS to offer a new series of educational courses designed to help gain several key industry certifications for those who sign up for courses. We last saw SolidProfessor at SOLIDWORKS World last month, where they discussed their new technical certifications. Together they have developed several online educational pathways to preparing for and earning the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) and the Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) industry certifications. The certifications are ideal for young students looking to gain experience as they enter the job market, or current engineers and designers looking to build up their resume and expand their skillsets.

“For nearly 20 years, the SOLIDWORKS Certification Program has been helping users all around the world demonstrate their skills to peers, potential employers, and maybe even a boss or two! As our community of certified users approaches 250,000 this summer, the ability to train and certify new users is even more important. The CSWA and CSWP Pathways from SolidProfessor is an important step in the journey of a SOLIDWORKS user to obtain one of our industry recognized certifications, and I’m glad to see that one of our oldest partners has created this for our community. Beyond SOLIDWORKS, SolidProfessor offers a wide range of online educational resources for just about any CAD, CAE or 3D technology available, including certification courses for SketchUp, MeshMixer, 3ds Max and Fuel3D. Their new SOLIDWORKS certification pathways use a combination of online video tutorials, hands-on at-home exercises and online skill assessments to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to pass the CSWA and CSWP exams.

As part of their SOLIDWORKS partnership, SolidProfessor is offering free exam codes to students who complete their SOLIDWORKS certification pathways. Once members have completed the certification pathways, earned 80% or higher on their SolidProfessor assessments and shared their technical certificates online, they can email to receive their free CSWA or CSWP exam vouchers.

•         CSWA Prep Course

The SolidProfessor CSWP Pathway includes four courses:

•         SOLIDWORKS Essentials for Parts and Assemblies
•         SOLIDWORKS Advanced Parts
•         SOLIDWORKS Advanced Assemblies
•         CSWP Prep Course
