VECTARY was not available to the public when we first wrote about it. But now, they’ve just finished a successful closed beta program for a limited group of 10,000 subscribers. In an effort to shorten the VECTARY learning curve for first time users, the subscribers were given access to try out the service, which helped the team really focus on developing the tool further, while also keeping the user experience in mind. We are excited to announce that VECTARY is now available to the public!
In an effort to expand to new markets, the company, located in Bratislava and New York, recently raised over $2.5 million in seed funding. The founders are very excited for VECTARY users to create, customize, and share 3D models using their cutting-edge, accessible online tool.
“The wait is finally over and I couldn’t be happier to welcome anyone interested in starting a 3D revolution to go and try out our tool,” says Michal Koor, VECTARY founder and CEO. “We’ve worked hard to get to this point and we’re really proud to make the new features available to a larger audience. For us and our users, this public beta launch signals only the beginning of what’s to follow. We plan to add more features and plugins to the tool to make it even easier for anyone to start creating in VECTARY.”
Subdivisions: you have the option of switching between your low-poly model and a smooth-surface model while editing your object- Parametric design: choose from an expanding list of parametric plugins that do the modeling work for you – just move a slider to create complex shapes
- Simplified user interface: easy-to-use VECTARY targets users who are interested in professional-looking results without taking a long time to learn how to 3D model
- Import & export capabilities: you can export your models to standard 3D files, then print them at home or with a 3D printing service. Importing 3D files is as simple as dragging and dropping.
A great way VECTARY demonstrates its sharing and customizing capabilities is through the use of Kiwi, on the homepage. The VECTARY design is a simple Kiwi bird, and then it shows how, once they published the model, other users in the community collaborated to keep adding updates to Kiwi, so its story never ended.
VECTARY will keep working on developing the beta, and continue to add more useful plugins that do the 3D modeling work for its users. They will also eventually make new paid subscription plans for businesses and enterprises available. Check out their video to see how it works:
