Frontier Tech Forum in San Diego Starts in Less Than Two Weeks – Register Now!

It’s hard to believe that it’s December already – particularly because it was 60°F  here in Ohio a couple of days ago. That’s like San Diego weather. Today, unfortunately, the weather is much more seasonal and much less pleasant, so I may have to flee to San Diego – and conveniently, the Frontier Tech Forum starts in less than two weeks! I won’t be there personally, but a few of my 3DPrint.com colleagues will be, and there’s plenty to look forward to this year!

Rising Media announced several details about the conference and expo a few weeks ago, but as the event approaches, more information has emerged about who and what we can look forward to seeing in San Diego on December 14 and 15. There’s a lot to pack in to two days, including several prominent speakers, panels on a range of topics, a hackathon, and more.

This year’s Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo has been combined with RoboUniverse and the Virtual Reality Summit to create the Frontier Tech Forum. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Amazon Echo in a series of rapid learning sessions for developers, and Paul Cutsinger, the head of Amazon Alexa Code Labs, will lead an Amazon Alexa Hackathon focused on building voice-enabled technology around virtual personal assistant Alexa, which powers the Echo. On December 15, Adriana Vela of NanoTecNexus will chair an interactive panel discussion on diversity in frontier technology. The panel, entitled “Should diversity be a priority in the technology sector?” will discuss the impact of diversity and multiculturalism in business, and will also include Nora Touré from Sculpteo and Women in 3D Printing, and Dulce Baerga of Eolian and Dulce Dotcom. The interactive panel will also invite audience members to contribute to the discussion.

“The opportunity to dissect differing, and even opposing, viewpoints on the subject of diversity is a refreshing approach which I’ve not seen done at any other conference,” said Vela. “Adding the means for audience participation takes it up yet another notch and this is exciting.”
