One of the market leading 3D printing adhesion products comes from the Maltese startup Thought3D, which released their first iteration Magigoo last year. Starting off as a 3D printing service provider with the true maker spirit, the Thought3D team decided to create products to improve the overall 3D printing experience after realizing the obstacles that stood in the way of convenience. Now, the 3D printing startup has given the Magigoo 3D printing adhesion pen a complete makeover, rebranding the product and improving the formulation to provide even better adhesion for desktop 3D printers.
To give the Magigoo brand a modern twist, Thought3D collaborated with the Malta-based leading branding agency BRND WGN to develop a reinvigorated look and feel for their product. In an industry where a majority of products look bland and are difficult to differentiate from one another, Magigoo’s new skin is both vibrant and bold, giving it an identity that stands out among the rest. To match this newfound colorful and vibrant aesthetic, Thought3D has also created radiant test packs to house free samples of their new 3D printing adhesion formula.
“The new branding communicates the ambitions of the Magigoo team,” says Edward Borg, co-founder of Thought3D. “We want to enable creators and help them push boundaries, all while being playful and having fun.”
“The new small tester packs will allow for new business models; distributors can bundle Magigoo with plastic filaments or other 3D printing accessories,” says Andrei Andy Linnas, co-founder of Thought3D. “Magigoo sachets can be easily used in educational settings for one time use workshops, or they can be given away as perks.”
In addition to their rebranding and product enhancements, Thought3D will also be supporting Habibi.works, a new workshop project based in Katsikas, Greece. The organization brings innovative minds from refugee camps together with specialists from Ioannina and throughout the world, and provides them with a makerspace to work on product development, broadening perspectives with 3D printing technology and other creative tools. Thought3D will be accepting donations on behalf of the organization at the TCT Show. Discuss further in the Thought3D Rebrands Magigoo Pen forum over at 3DPB.com.
