RAPID 2016: 3D Systems to Rule with Booths, Exhibits, Hardware Displays, Tours & Talks

News has been flooding in regarding companies from the 3D printing realm who will be attending RAPID 2016 to be held in the Sunshine State—as Orlando plays host to this important annual tradeshow from May 16-19 at the Orange County Convention Center. 3DPrint.com too will be on hand to cover all the happenings—and indeed this is sure to be a who’s who to behold at the event celebrating 3D printing, scanning, and manufacturing, now in its 26th year.

Certainly not to be overshadowed, 3D Systems has announced that this year they will choose to use the venue as an opportunity for demonstrating how their clients and users are able to gain nearly every benefit 3D printing is so famous for, employing 3DS end-to-end solutions for making superior designs, streamlining workflow, and getting to market faster.

If you are attending this is going to be both exciting and perhaps completely overwhelming too as over 20 of 3D Systems’ partners will be in attendance, including those they collaborate with, work with as service bureaus, have distribution deals with, and more. Reigning supreme in the industry for decades, 3DS has undeniably been a major player in changing the world of the engineer, offering them new and infinite options for designing 3D prototypes and parts, as well as allowing them to test and validate what they make. 3DS provides an ecosystem that includes:

In Booth 211, 3D Systems will be showing off healthcare and medical 3D printing solutions in an extensive manner—even offering hour-long tours at their booth, allowing us to get a glimpse at how doctors today are able to use their famed 3D printed medical devices and medical implants. Eventgoers will also be introduced to 3DS products like Virtual Surgical Planning and immersive surgical simulation, as well as hearing more about numerous case studies and success stories. An important one in particular is that of Grace Kabelenga, whose story we’ve been following as the eight-year-old girl from Zambia has undergone a series of surgeries to fix facial deformities, showing miraculous progress thanks to 3D Systems innovation and the teamwork of physicians from around the world.

This is obviously going to be one of the more expansive booths, as 3DS will be also showing off quite a lineup of their 3D printers, ranging from the ProX DMP 320 metal 3D printer to the office friendly ProJet MJP 2500 Series. They will be displaying their 3D printing, scanning, and software technologies in the same booth, with demonstrations that should make it clear exactly why these particular products are unique and so beneficial.

“3D printing is so much more than just printers,” said Cathy Lewis, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, 3D Systems. “From our comprehensive surgical solutions to our installations into automated production environments, our unique ecosystem is helping customers boost their productivity, improve their business and transform their industry.”

Heading over to the second booth, 112, visitors will be able to check out 3D Systems Quickparts, their on demand parts manufacturing system, responsible for some unique projects we’ve reported on previously. This system is responsible for offering more advanced solutions in prototyping and production. This service, according to 3DS, provides immediate access to the company’s comprehensive range of advanced technologies. Available online, the system also offers instant online quoting.

At the show, 3DS experts will also be speaking as part of the RAPID 2016 workshop series, in regards to topics such as:

“Our industry is evolving rapidly. We are continuing to strengthen the products, services and partnerships within our ecosystem to help our customers meet the challenges of the future. Events like RAPID give us the opportunity not only to share our latest advancements, but to see the full impact and reach of our technology across the show floor,” concluded Lewis.

Medical exhibit tours by 3DS at booth 211 will be held Wednesday, May 18, at 2:00 PM and Thursday, May 19, at 10:30 AM. If you’d like to see a map of where they will be, as well as all the other booths, take a look here. While 3DS will certainly be giving you a comprehensive education about their products, innovations, and services, it’s very likely that you will too see their influence in the booths of many they partner with.
