London: Attend iMakr Desktop 3D Print Show & See the Lightning Fast Gizmo Gizipro 2X 3D Printer, Unveiled

UntitlediMakr is one of those fun, dynamic companies within the 3D printing industry that we love to report on. With 3D printing stores that opened to much hoopla in both London and New York a couple of years ago, they have an energetic team, many of whom are actually referred to as wizards.

Now, they’ll be hosting the Desktop 3D Print Show at their London iMakr location on March 3rd from 3:00-9:00 p.m. And if you were on the fence for any reason about heading into the city for those dates, we’ve just learned that those who attend (including 3DPrint.com!) will be privy to some exciting new products—not to mention the unveiling of the Gizmo Gizipro 2X.

You may have heard whisperings about this new 3D printer, and we certainly have been following a lot of activity from Gizmo, with a series of advancements and new product launches from the Australian manufacturer and innovator that brings lightning speed to 3D printing.

Referred to as ‘Star Trek like,’ this new, ultra-fast machine will be on display at the show, teasing us with promises of 3D printing demonstrations like that of a wineglass being printed in an hour.

The iMakr team has also been in on testing the Gizipro 2X. The results? According to the iMakr engineering team, this new printer receives a solid A. While undoubtedly they are blown away by the speed, which will draw a crowd in itself, the Gizipro 2X also offers a large build volume, double projector, and of course—the famed top down continuous printing process, offering 3D models at the rate of 2mm per minute. Along with all of this, users can indeed look forward to very high quality in their prints.

“Gizmo has the potential to make some serious waves in the 3D industry,” says Eric Savant, iMakr CEO. “We’ve tested a lot of good machines over the years, but none has come close to delivering such a high level of precision at the speeds that the Gizipro prints.“

This printer will be featured in a March Indiegogo campaign to be launched by Kobus Du Toit, founder of Gizmo. Certainly not to be hidden away as the campaign ensues, users will be able to continue to check it out at iMakr’s London store. And for those who are eager to snap one up after the campaign as well, the Gizipro 2X can then be pre-ordered from either the online platform for iMakr, or at either of their stores.

The show itself will undoubtedly offer a great deal of excitement, with top manufactures from all over the world showing off their wares, to include 3D printers, scanners, and new and exotic filaments. Following are some of the innovations those attending can look forward to seeing:
