3D Hubs Strong and Flexible Event | Lansing, Michigan
Lansing is kicking next week’s jam-packed 3D Hubs’ events schedule off Monday, December 14, with a Strong & Flexible workshop at the Technology Innovation Center from 6:30-8:30 pm. Lansing’s local 3D printing community has received an amazing boost from the folks at the Innovation Center. If you are in the area and haven’t checked the space out, or if you are an architect, designer, artist, or techie involved with 3D printing, this is your event. To register you can go here. The workshop costs $5 for students and $7.50 for regular admission, and includes refreshments and a 3D Hubs printing voucher worth $20. Make Community Mayor Joe happy and go ahead and get registered for the workshop today!
Because of the same DIY spirit, 3D printing and micro brewing go together splendidly. And this is not the first time the 3D printing community of Calgary has acknowledged this. Community Mayor Colin invites you to another 3D Drinks, right before the holidays on December 15, so you can see all of your 3D printing buddies for a festive get together. This event takes place at the Minhas Micro Brewery from 6:00-9:00 pm, and there will be space for you to set your 3D printers up there. For $10, a group tour of the micro brewery is available. Have one of those beers for all of us at 3DPrint.com!
Global #3DPrintingDay | Cairo, Egypt
As you may already know, 3D Hubs organized an incredible #3DPrintingDay that involved over 350 cities internationally this year. Cairo, Egypt is participating two weeks later, but better late than never, right? This is especially good news since this will be Egypt’s first coordinated 3D Hubs 3D printing event ever. This event will cover many facets of 3D printing technologies, and it takes place at Zagazig University from 9:00 am-12:00 pm on December 17, according to Community Mayor Ahmed. Get in on the ground level for 3D printing in Egypt by attending!
3D Hubs Robo 3D Holiday Party | San Diego, California
San Diego-based 3D printing fans are invited by Community Mayor Brian to a Holiday Party on December 18th starting at 6:00 pm. This party looks like a lot of fun since 3D printing people usually wrap up their parties in a few short hours–and this one goes until midnight. This is the longest 3D printing party I have written about yet! Come discuss successful or failed prints, play some ping pong, and you can even wear an ugly Christmas sweater (how about wearing something ugly and 3D printed?) to the party. There will also be a presentation on 3D Hubs activities, so be ready to get some industry information, too.
3D Hubs Sketchfab 3D Scanner Party | Salt Lake City, Utah
Community Mayor Zach wants to introduce you to 3D scanning at Imagine That 3D (which is also holding a holiday 3D printed toy drive for needy children). The Sketchfab scanner party costs $5, and you’ll be able to get a 3D printed mini-me or some other important keepsake scanned and printed, too. Come find out all about 3D scanning and celebrate the holidays with dedicated local 3D printing experts on December 19 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Imagine That 3D in Utah.
e-NABLE Marathon | Breda, the Netherlands
What an impressive line-up of pre-holiday events by the 3D Hubs Community! Great work, everyone!
