This item however, may fall in either of these two categories, based on the individual. The 3D printed Chris Christe “BridgeGate” figurine.
If you have not heard of “BridgeGate,” yet, you must have been living under a rock for the last month and a half. The Republican’s top presidential candidate for the 2016 election, Chris Christie, is caught up in quite the controversy. Back in August of last year, Christie’s deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly ordered the director of interstate capital projects, David Wildstein, to close off access lanes to the George Washington Bridge. The ensuing five day traffic jam made headlines, and now has also, all but destroyed Christie’s presidential hopes.
The figurine was designed by a man named Fernando Sosa, who has designed several other 3D models of infamous characters like Walter White from Breaking Bad. This interesting piece is offered at Shapeways.com for $37.87, and is printed with a Sandstone material. Fernando also will be adding to his new line of political 3D printed figurines over the coming weeks and months ahead, according to his commentary on the project’s page,
“I like to believe that this is the 1st fully colored 3D printed politically oriented figurine in the United States or the world. This also happens to be the 1st of my new line of political inspired desk toys or figurines.
