September 15th, 3D Hubs Events in Austria and Los Angeles

3D Hubs events ebb and flow weekly. Some weeks are jam-packed with so many events that there are several events scheduled on the same day. Other weeks, there’s only a few events, but they are nonetheless important for those planning to attend them. This week, we have two events on the calendar: one sponsored by 3D Hubs in Graz, Austria. The other event is a Scanner Party with Sketchfab in Los Angeles, California. At this party you can scan your own objects or yourself for a 3D printed selfie bust. You choose!
On Tuesday, September 15, from 6:00-10:00 pm in Graz, Austria. Thomas, the Community Mayor for the Makerspace’s Hub in Graz, invites you to an event. There are 38 3D printers in the Graz community, so there might be a high demand for the event — just so you know. There are 14 spots left, so you can register through 3D Hubs to guarantee your spot if you live in or near Graz and would like to attend the event, following the “hot summer break.” The Hub hosts events the third Tuesday of every month, and the September meetup is devoted to the topic “Model Pressure (methods and limits of feasibility).”
This US-based event is a 3D scanner party also on Tuesday, September 15, from 7:00-9:00 pm. I don’t know what it is about 3D Hubs and Tuesdays, but many of the events seem to be on that day of the week. Anyway, the scanning party is in Los Angeles at The Build Shop, LLC at Westmoreland Avenue, and 18 tickets are still available for a mere $5.00. For five bucks, you can scan objects you bring or scan yourself for a 3D printed Mini-Me bust. The files will be published on Sketchfab after the event. Space is limited, so you can register here. Drinks and snacks are included with the price too. How can you go wrong?
