ISG3D to Release Affordable, Open Source Eleven 3D Printer on Kickstarter Later This Month

We’ve been looking forward to the impending launch of the Eleven 3D printer from ISG3D, a startup from Canada. Now, they’ve scheduled the release date for the end of this month, beginning with a Kickstarter campaign.

ISG3D functions not only as an online store but they have also been working steadily to create a unique niche in the marketplace with a lineup of exciting 3D printers that are high quality and accessible to all users.

Their goal is also to be offering hardware to a community of makers that is looking for all the usual features–and more–but at about half the price. This will especially be true with the impending Kickstarter campaign that allows for supporters to purchase the upcoming Eleven for less than the planned $1100 price tag.

The Eleven, which you should see on Kickstarter toward the end of the month, offers a substantial build area of 220 x 400 x 400 mm. While offering the space to make large prints, users can still look forward to an aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment that fits right on the desktop. At 33 x 60 x 60 cm, it’s still a size that allows for easy moving and doesn’t take up too much space.

Offering efficiency and a user-friendly platform, the Eleven will also be open-source so that savvy makers and hackers can work on improving and customizing design files to their liking. The early bird price on the impending Kickstarter campaign will be as low as $850, which consumers should find attractive.

With such a large surface and great affordability, users will be able to look forward to making even more 3D printed designs. This is a machine that the company has really taken their time to develop and release, making sure 3D printing enthusiasts are receiving a quality, open-source design that they can build upon and enjoy for quite some time.
