The 3D Printed GustaVino Wine Rack is Modular, Colorful, Inspired by Nature

Everything about GustaVino is fitting for fine wine (depending on taste), from the name (after the maker) to the fit (sleek and modular) to the artistic influence (after famed Gaudi). Made for aficionados who love wine–and design–this new 3D printed device will offer an elegant accent anywhere, in any home.

Created by Gustavo Arguello, the GustaVino wine rack is perfect for the maker–and the purist– featuring renewable materials that you can 3D print yourself. While it’s modular and quite simple in concept, you can turn it into quite the complex display of wines.

Arguello is a Brazilian-born graphic designer now living in the UK, with an obvious specialty in package and creative structural design, as well as 3D rendering and printing. Arguello also specializes in brand identity which should come in handy as he launches the Kickstarter campaign for his unique wine rack later this month, on September 19^th.

“GustaVino is amazingly versatile,” Arguello told 3DPrint.com. “You can display your wine collection horizontally, vertically or even pyramidal. For instance, using only three pieces you can hold three or four bottles depending on how you arrange them! Moreover, the space inside the honeycomb accommodates a wide wine ranges of bottles.”

So while you may have fallen in love with the many facets of wine collecting…from the syrah to the cabernet…you’ll probably feel similarly about Arugello’s 3D printed innovation meant to hold your finds, with aesthetics inspired by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi. Deeply inspired by nature, Gaudi was a leader in the modernism style, and what Arquello takes from Gaudi’s style here is the lightness of nature and a combination of something like trees with the delicate yet sturdy nature of a bone structure.

While many experience great joy in finding, collecting, and drinking wine, often nearly equal satisfaction is found in displaying them. The GustaVino allows for an affordable, elegant and quite unique way to show off your finds and future aperitifs. Whether you are showing off numerous stylish bottles, or have just a couple of hand, you can scale up–or down–with the convenient modular pieces that snap together in a variety of interlocking puzzles that are left up to you. The honeycomb structure allows you to display bottles in varying shapes.

“Even if it’s an industrial piece, each one will be unique as it would be created by nature with its organic form and texture of production through 3D printing,” states Arugello.

You can also pick from a variety of colors, from neutrals to even a bright pink, purple, red, or cobalt blue. With so many choices, you can arrange earth tones, complementary colors, and more–even including glow-in-the-dark green!
