The weather is cooling off and leaves are beginning to change and fall, even here in humid Florida, signaling the end of
As of August 21, 2015, there are 128 3D Hubs in Toronto. That’s a lot of Hubs. This also means that those 3D Hubs pub nites might get a little rowdy as people gather together to share information, equipment, and supplies discuss their latest projects with like-minded people. The Community Mayor, Peter, is aiming to make this a monthly gathering and urges people to contact his alter ego, “Dr.MakeMake,” at his email. If you are in Toronto and would like to present at one of these pub nites, which will take place the second Tuesday of each month, the only catch is your talk needs to be an info session — not a sales pitch. The next pub nite is on September 8, at the Fox and Fiddle in York Mills, 6:00-8:00 PM.
Workshop Filaments Spéciaux | Paris, France
Paris’ LeFab Club is the location of the next 3D Hubs event this week, as people will be gathering to learn more about all things filament-related. On Wednesday, September 9, 7:00-9:00 PM, there will be a MadeSolid Special Filament Workshop. For your €15 ticket, you can get exposure to this filament’s best practices that use an FDM printer. You will also be receiving 150g of FlexSolid filament, refreshments and snack, and be able to network with other Parisian 3D printing devotees —
MadeSolid Special Filament| London, England
Over in London, the same Filament Workshop in collaboration with MadeSolid is planned for September 10, 6:30-9:00 PM, at Fab Lab London. The workshop can only house 30 people, so be sure you are prepared to attend by signing up for the workshop here for a £15 ticket, as Community Mayor Charlotte reminds us!
3D Hubs EHV Meeting| Eindhoven, the Netherlands
Also on September 10, 7:00-10:00 PM, 3D Hubs Eindhoven will be meeting. Albert, the Community Mayor, states that the meeting will take place at Lay3rs 3dprinting, Grote Berg 60.
Autodesk Fusion 360 Workshop| Pasadena, California
This workshop is a very similar format to other workshops done in collaboration with 3D Hubs and Fusion 360 folks. In this workshop, participants receive an introduction to designing with Autodesk, but that’s not all! They are also able to test their design skills by making a ready-to-print lampshade that fits the IKEA SEKOND cord. Community Mayor Nikki reminds anyone signing up for the workshop to do so early and to make sure that you bring a laptop with Fusion 360 already installed and an external mouse! And you’ll be good to go!
