From Design to 3D Print: Fusion 360| Dallas, Tx.
Dallas is the location for the next 3D Hubs event on the calendar. The “From Design to 3D Print: Fusion 360,” is an introductory workshop on using Autodesk Fusion 360, and you leave with your own 3D printed lampshade, and a $15.00 3D Hubs print voucher. This workshop will introduce you to the Fusion 360 basics, have you apply your new skills to designing the lampshade, and then send the lampshade to print. There are only three spaces left, so if you are interested, then you can sign up here. Remember to bring your laptop and an external mouse, as well.
3D Hubs and Proto-Pasta Special Filament Workshop| Amsterdam
Next, we go to Amsterdam, where a sold-out workshop jointly sponsored by 3D Hubs and Proto-Pasta will take place from 7:00-9:30 PM on Tuesday, August 25th. This workshop focuses on how to use Proto-Pasta’s stainless steel and carbon fiber filaments on FDM printers and it will also go over polishing techniques. For €15.00, those fortunate to have been able to sign up will receive a 150g sample pack of each filament, refreshments, and the opportunity to attend the workshop.

August 26th, from 4:00-6:00 PM, Community Mayor Alex invites all those in São Carlos, Brazil to come to an informative session about 3D printing and 3D Hubs’ activities. The event will be held in the Anfiteatro Jorge Caron, and it is devoted to makers and enthusiasts of 3D printing. Another 3D Hubs event is in Cleveland, Ohio on August 26th. This event is organized by Community Mayor, Will, and will take place at the Tensile Testing Metallurgical Laboratory.
3D Hubs MadeSolid Special Filament Workshop| San Francisco, Ca.
There’s another sold out event sponsored by 3D Hubs. This event is happening on August 26th from 7:00-9:00 PM in San Francisco, and it features best practices focusing on MadeSolid’s FlexSolid filament. Participants in the workshop, which is organized by Maddie, will get the workshop, refreshments and snacks, and a custom made filament sample pack including 150g of FlexSolid filament. If you didn’t get tickets to this one, no worries. This is the first in a series of 4 workshops offered in San Francisco about FlexSolid filament.
