DigiFabster: a Cloud-Based CRM and Production Solution for 3D Printing Businesses

about digifabsterConnections to the global network are taking over as devices are hooked up to the Internet, and small-scale manufacturing resources like 3D printing, CNC machines and laser cutters are being managed by engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and businesses to develop their projects.

DigiFabster, a software and service provider, is focused on making those manufacturing tools and pricing policies available in one click, and they say their solution will mean the launch of the Factory 2.0.

DigiFabster was developed by 3DPrintus, an online platform for 3D printing in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, founded two years ago in Moscow. Since that time, 3DPrintus has expanded and the result is DigiFabster.

Constantine Ivanov, the co-founder and CEO and Dmitry Maslennikov, a co-founder and the Head of Business Development, say they launched DigiFabster to extend 3DPrintus, their personal platform for 3D printing of any objects and its personal manufacturing technology.

“Before we used to get, say, 150 RFQs – only 15 of which we could quote, which would generate 10 orders,” Ivanov says. “Now we get more than 350 RFQs, we quote 300 and get 160 orders. But the most amazing thing is that the percentage of repeat orders has doubled, which to me means that the quality of our service has gone up.”

That’s why the cloud-based management software for 3D printing firms, DigiFabster, was created; to allow customers to automate orders flow, increase revenue and build conversion rates via a simple widget for websites.

The solution includes order processing and payment and a CRM and exchange market for 3D printing bureaus, prototyping services and Fab Labs. DigiFabster’s service is a fast solution for setting up 3D printing business by companies of any size who operate home and professional grade printers which use any technology and materials.

When 3D printing models are uploaded, DigiFabster can automatically repair common problems with meshes, topology and geometry, and the system also also checks – and corrects – 3D model wall thicknesses.

This cloud-based service also provides a web-based account with personal settings, files storage and order tracking. Information on order status, such as delivery dates and production timescales, is also included for businesses and their customers in the same simple interface.

DigiFabster’s CRM solution stores client information and tracks production from start to finish with updates at every stage.

A simple HTML-based code is installed with a widget on a company website, and the solution can also be integrated via email which is capable of automatically responding to all customer requests with instant pricing information.

A free version of the solution is available, designed for small 3D printing bureaus and Fablabs, which allows for the upload of 1,000 3D models per month. It includes file upload and repair, order flow automation, online payment and delivery functions, support for FDM, SLS and full color printers, and SSL data protection.

The Platinum version of DigiFabster is priced at $200 per month, and the company says it’s targeted at prototyping services. It includes unlimited 3D model uploads, a “White Label” feature, upload and file repair, order flow automation, online payment and delivery and support for FDM, SLS and full color printing processes. The Platinum version of the solution also offers SSL data protection.
