3D Hubs Meetup| Toronto, Ontario, Canada
On Tuesday, August 11, Peter (aka “Dr. Makemake”) is hosting a gathering for all 3D printing fans at the Fox and Fiddle–as happens the second Tuesday of every month at the 3D Hubs Toronto Community Pub Nite. If you’d like to do a short presentation to the group, simply sponsor the first round of appetizers and let Dr. Makemake know by emailing him: makemake@makerwitz.com. Toronto has 122 3D Hubs, so this could be big! That makes Toronto #10 on the 3D Hubs list, and it’s still growing quickly. This might be a very important chance to network, for all of you 3D printing folks in Toronto!
Parametric Design| San José, Costa Rica
On the second Tuesday of each month, a little farther south, is Makerblast’s Priscilla Salazar’s conference on Parametric Design at The Public House. This is a great opportunity for networking, and people are encouraged to bring their best prints and worst prints and questions as well. The event is from 7-9 PM, held for August on the 11th. From Costa Rica to Brazil, 3D Hubs is represented all throughout the world! On August 13, Peter from São Carlos is hosting a get together for people interested in 3D printing from 7-10 PM, held at NUMA. If you are in or near São Carlos, and have been 3D printing or interested in checking it all out then this is the event for you! The agenda runs from an introduction to printer installation to 3D Hubs’ offerings to discussion of projects and printing.
QuebecMaker| Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
Expo QuébecMaker Quebec is hosting a big Maker event August 14-23, beginning at noon. Troadey is the event’s Community Mayor, and the event includes a 3D printing competition involving 60 makers. That’s right: 60 makers in Quebec City! Check out the events here on QuebecMaker for more details.
3D Hubs Wake Tech| Raleigh, North Carolina, US
On August 15, from 10-2 PM in Raleigh, North Carolina, Community Mayor Bob will be hosting a 3D printing event at Wake Technical Community College. Bring along your prints, both the good ones and the not so good ones, your printers, and anything else you’d like to share with Raleigh’s 3D printing community. This is the second gathering in Raleigh for 3D printing fans. You can show off what you have made, talk about what you plan to make, or just attend to learn more about this fascinating technology.
