Futur3D Unveils New 3DWARF & 3DWARF+ DLP 3D Printers

slide-DWARFBased in Prague, 3D printer manufacturer Futur3D isn’t new to the game. The company has already rolled out a pair of FDM delta printer designs, but with their 3DWARF and 3DWARF+, they’re now entering DLP resin 3D printer territory.

This high-resolution machines feature a build volume of 105 x 155 x 200 mm and are capable of creating with an XY resolution down to 0.15mm (for the 3DWARF) and 0.09mm (for the 3DWARF+). Both print with a typical layer height of 0.05 mm.

The latest machines from Futur3D include SD card input for local file handling and an integrated WiFi network connections.

The 3DWARF and 3DWARF+ can be controlled by a single button from a large touchscreen, and Futur3D adds that the entire process is “simple and fully automated.” This latest in their line can be controlled using a smartphone, tablet or web browser, and the printing process can be monitored and adjusted during the print process.

DLP-based technology, is capable of rendering very small details, complex structures and hollow shapes, and Futur3D says that makes the device “ideal for producers of prototypes, design accessories as well as for printing some parts of a bigger object, which were damaged or broken away, etc.”

The company offers a range of individual resin colors as well. Their Standard Blend resin is a multi purpose material which, when fully cured, features a hardness of 35 shore D.

A Castable Blend has been designed for use with pieces in bronze, copper, tin or iron via a standard vacuum investment casting method. They say this material, only available in red, is ideal for casting art, models and machine parts, and when fully cured, the resin features a hardness of 73 shore D.

Their Industrial Blend formulation was developed for clients who required an extra hard material which would maintain its structural integrity under a variety of high and low temperature conditions, and it has a fully cured hardness value of 75 shore D and has been tested from -45° C to +225° C. Futur3D has also included a link to an interesting Instructable which features a casting method for this material here.

The 3DWARF is set to retail for around $2,300, and it’s available for purchase now from their site.

Futur3D offers 3D printers, 3D printer components, a scanner and DIY Kits along with the new DLP printers and their FDM line of delta-based ROSTOCK printers.
