XYZprinting and D&H Distributing Push 3D Printing Into Education Markets

Education efforts among 3D printing companies are ramping up at a blistering pace, and as many of the major players have slowly entered the education sphere, companies like 3D Systems are moving forward quickly with distribution partnerships.

And XYZprinting, a New Kinpo Group company and manufacturer of 3D printers for consumers, artists, small- to mid-sized businesses is moving toward the education markets as well. They say they’re now partnering with D&H Distributing to expand the distribution of their 3D printers in the education market.

The deal applies to the entire XYZprinting product line which includes everything from the da Vinci Junior 1.0 to the da Vinci 1.0 AiO all-in-one 3D scanner and printer to the Nobel 1.0 SL laser 3D printer.

They add that D&H will also offer the XYZprinting refillable ABS filament cartridges and biodegradable PLA filaments.

Simon Shen, the CEO of XYZprinting, says D&H will be a strategic – and integral – partner for his company going forward.

“D&H stands out because of its focus on the education vertical which is crucial for the growth of the 3D printing market,” Shen says of the deal. “We’re thrilled about D&H’s strength in the K-12 and higher education sectors and look forward to increasing distribution into schools to offer them the most affordable 3D printing solutions.”

As part of the agreement, XYZprinting products will be incorporated into D&H’s K-12 education offering and educational sessions through programs such as the Solutions Lab Training Center.

The New Kinpo Group is an electronic manufacturing services provider and original design manufacturing company which boasts one of the industry’s broadest product lines. NKG is the world’s largest manufacturer of wireless routers, TV set top boxes, printers and hard disk drives.

Leading technology distributor D&H provides resources to solution providers and consultants, and delivers a broad selection of products and applications including span server and infrastructure, SOHO and mobile applications, consumer electronics and gaming.

The company’s 97-year history as an adviser to the reseller channel means they ship from five separate locations in North America including a US headquarters in Harrisburg, PA and a Canadian headquarters in Brampton, Ontario. The company operates warehouses in Atlanta, Chicago, and Fresno.
