Create it REAL & WEISTEK Partner to Release IdeaWerk Speed 3D Printer

Almost as soon as 3D printing began to catch on, it became not only a rapidly growing technology but one being constantly refined by its community–and what was first on the list for fixing? Speed. We live in a world obsessed with speed, multi-tasking, and a constant demand to top ourselves for going faster, faster, faster. While that may get so out of control that many of us start putting the brakes on, reminding ourselves to stop and smell the roses, when it comes to 3D printing, speed is a concern for a reason. People don’t want to spend half a day printing one small item. And there’s not much point, once you get past the fascination factor of being able to do that at home.

While some may be savoring the 3D printing experience and enjoying watching the world roll by slowly, most of the great minds in the industry are busy developing, building, and putting ever faster machines to the test. You can be assured the speed issue won’t last for long. And especially if Create it REAL and WEISTEK have anything do with it.

Create it REAL is already known for creating the first real-time processor dedicated to 3D printing back in 2013, allowing FDM printers to work exponentially faster than before, and the Danish company has continued in their mission to provide quality technology that brings designs to fruition in a more timely fashion than we’ve seen previously. And now they are doubling up with new partner, WEISTEK, releasing the IdeaWerk Speed 3D printer, which will be offering users speeds up to ten times faster than they’ve previously been used to in the desktop category.

The Danish and Chinese 3D printing manufacturers have joined forces with a common vision in mind: to offer greater accessibility to everyone who is interested in 3D printing, allowing them to have a fun and user-friendly experience, while exploring their creative side and showing it off in 3D.

“We were looking for a consumer brand that could offer a reliable 3D printer that was easy to set up, safe, and capable of handling the high speed and high accelerations generated by our technology,” says Jeremie Pierre Gay, CEO of Create it REAL. “WEISTEK is a strong brand in China and has received very good feedback on its IdeaWerk Plus in the USA and Europe so far.”

“Our technology was targeting business customers at first, where speed and reliability is key, but we have found a way to offer it to consumers who will now be able to enjoy high performance, too.”

Both Create it REAL and WEISTEK have the common goal of solving the speed issue which is front and center, not only in the industry as a whole, but as the foundation on which the two companies are working for the IdeaWerk Speed. Offering high performance and a quality package is key overall as they work to provide the total user package.

“Our engineers were impressed by Create it REAL technology due to the flexibility, the reliability, and of course, the performance, which made it an obvious reason for us to work together,” said Vicky Chen, CEO of WEISTEK.  “3D printing operators are excited about what such technology can do for them, but they are also disappointed by the time it takes to print even small objects and the complexity of the process. With the IdeaWerk Speed, we hope to prove to them that 3D printing is easy, fun, and fast, too.”

The IdeaWerk Speed is slated to be released in demo form this summer, with full availability by the end of the year. The final version will feature intuitive software geared toward all levels, attractive to beginners with its user-friendliness, while allowing for more advanced users to enjoy customization options and the ability to tweak nearly all the settings.
