Because of this very issue, many people purchase expensive generators or battery backups so that if the power goes out, they can continue their power consumption. I’ve always wondered why more electronics manufacturers don’t include battery backups built into their products. Perhaps they just don’t think it is a necessity.
For one 3D printer manufacturer, BEEVERYCREATIVE, they are always thinking of ways to improve the 3D printing experience. Just two days ago, we reported on the company’s release of four new 3D printers which include the BEETHEFIRST+, BEE ME, BEE in School, and Hello BEE Prusa. Today, thanks to the guys over at Fabbaloo we have come to discover a new feature that has been unveiled in the BEETHEFIRST+ line of 3D printers.
That feature is one which will make 3D printer owners living in Southwest Florida, and anywhere else where brief power outages are common, quite happy. BEEVERYCREATIVE has included a full battery backup with their BEETHEFIRST+ 3D printers, which according to the company can run the printer without any hiccups for several minutes.
No longer do you have to worry about starting a long print job, and crossing your fingers that there are no power outages during that time. I’ve lost several long print jobs with less than 10% of the print remaining because of the annoying thunderstorms we experience. With the new BEETHEFIRST+ 3D printer — including the BEE in School model — that worry is no longer an issue. The battery backup is always charged, as it is continuously charging when the 3D printer is running.
It should be interesting to see if other 3D printer manufacturers begin implementing similar technology into their own machines.
